What Is MyndGuide?
You’re probably here for clarity.
Or out of curiosity?
Maybe both?
I have no credentials or titles to share.
What matters to me is this:
Creating content that encourage others to explore their mind process.
Not to fix (anything) but as a process of observation, questioning, and discovery.
How MyndGuide is Different
My Mind Guide (MyndGuide) is not a method for you to follow. The best method is a mirror and self-help means we do the work, ourselves.
Look in the mirror and ask yourself:
Am I looking externally for answers from others?
Or am I looking within and helping myself?
You may say you need more external help before you are able to help yourself – but that thought is what we are here to observe! That thought IS your mind process – you will never have enough. You are complete, just as you are.
I’m not here to sell techniques, hacks, or morning routines.
There’s no promise of transformation –
just a chance to observe what’s already happening – that observations becomes Your Own Mind Guide.
MyndGuide videos, articles, and reflections are not meant to teach you what to think, but to help you notice your thoughts as life happen.
If you’re tired of the performative approach to life, constantly measuring your personal progress, struggling with self-doubt or chasing enjoyment, you may be ready to develop your own guide – map it out for yourself and you’ll have the space to exhale.
Who’s Behind MyndGuide?
Hello! My name is Derek and I’m the ‘voice behind the brain’.
I live life on the west coast of Canada where I watch my mind process happen, write and share my experiences, and sometimes question my sanity in the middle of a meditation.
I believe: certainty is a barrier to life, not a badge – where unknowing is the path and not a failure.
… but I could be wrong. 😉
My journey is very internal and experiential now, but in the past I’ve drawn from a range of influences – including Zen Buddhism, Taoist philosophy, Christian and Sufi mysticism, a dash of Jung, and some modern voices like Ram Dass and Terence McKenna.
I’ve also borrowed from personal silence, doubt, frustration, and long walks watching my mind process – which have taught me more than any book or video.
I have no secrets to sell. I’m just trying to stay honest about what it means to be human and share that process through these little videos and short essays.
